Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons Characters

Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons is a character bet. You do not roll a custom face. You play Kaatri, a veteran weapons master who bargains with Tasha, a witch queen patron, to find someone she has lost. Tricia Helfer performs Kaatri with full capture. Maggie Robertson performs Tasha. That pairing is the marketing and the mechanic: power has a voice, and the voice has an agenda.

Why the cast matters to systems

A warlock without a patron is just a spooky fighter. Tasha teaches Kaatri to sense Raw Magic, pushes her through the Warlock’s Eye, and is hard to read on purpose. Kaatri still talks like a soldier who resents being managed. The Gamescom dialogue — patron wants, imp pries, Kaatri tells it to mind its business — is the relationship in miniature. Who else exists

Official copy says you may meet others and form alliances while always remaining Kaatri. Skev is the named Darkon-native imp in the reveal — commentary plus utility, per Jeffrey Hattem. Townsfolk in Crickshank will not take kindly to a warlock’s mark. Azalin Rex is Darkon’s absent lord in preview lore, not a confirmed party member. Do not build a companion wheel from that. Darkon holds the political weather.

Cosplay and public presence

Wizards launched a Kaatri cosplay tour at Gamescom Cologne (26–30 August 2026) with later stops TBA. That is marketing, but it tells you the studio wants Kaatri recognizable in a crowd: battle-worn, pact-marked, not a generic hood. News tracks the tour; this hub tracks the fiction.

How to read them before 2027

If you came from Baldur’s Gate 3, you are used to origin characters you can leave in camp. Kaatri is the whole save file. If you came from Dark Alliance, you are used to a drop-in four.
