Raw Magic in Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons
The world resource Tasha tells you to hunt — not a published skill tree
Raw Magic is the progression noun Invoke chose instead of a traditional experience bar — at least in public language. Tasha teaches Kaatri to sense it. It is hidden throughout Darkon. It lets her expand and transform magical ability. Official gameplay copy repeats the hunt as a verb: find Raw Magic. This page is the glossary and the warning. We do not have a node map, a cap, or a UI screenshot.
What it is not
It is not gold. It is not Baldur’s Gate 3 camp-level-up. It is not a battle pass. Preview articles compare the open world to Far Cry-like collection, which is a metaphor, not a checklist of 240 towers. If you treat Raw Magic as a completionist chore before 2027, you will be inventing chores. How to find Raw Magic is the searcher’s page. This one is the definition.
Why Tasha cares
The pact is not charity. Dialogue has Tasha claiming Kaatri’s desire as her own and sending her to see through the Warlock’s Eye. Raw Magic serves both of them. That is a story hook and a systems hook: every pickup might be a bill. Tasha and Kaatri hold the voices. Pact planner is the toy for thinking about cost without numbers.
Where you look
Darkon: mists, dungeons, castles, off-road pockets, maybe towns. Ability gates (raven, Misty Step grates, tentacle platforms) exist so that some Raw Magic sits behind literacy, not behind a level number. Exploration and Darkon are the maps we do have — verbal maps.
What it might unlock
Official language: expand and transform magical ability. That could mean new spells, mutated cantrips, ritual recipes, or cooldown relief. None of those options is confirmed. When a skill screen exists, cantrips vs advanced will absorb the labels. Until then, hunt because Tasha said to hunt, and because the Gamescom film treats glowing world power as a camera subject.
See spells, guides, how to play, news. 2027 will put a number on this noun. Do not download a fake farm route.
What we still refuse to invent on this page
Pre-release wikis fail when they fill silence with numbers. Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons has not published damage, cooldowns, campaign hours, or a skill tree. This article therefore repeats only public nouns: Kaatri, Tasha, Darkon, Raw Magic, cantrips, advanced spells, rituals, two weapons, 2027, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. If a later trailer names a new tool, it belongs here as a named tool, not as a guessed rank. Wishlist links belong on the platforms article. Button maps belong on the controls article. Boss names belong nowhere until Invoke says them on camera.
Readers arriving from Baldur’s Gate 3 should treat this page as a different job: no camp, no dice, no origin picker. Readers arriving from Dark Alliance should treat it as a different session: no four-player drop-in. Readers arriving from tabletop warlock threads should treat Eldritch Blast as a pad verb, not a slot you ration after a short rest. Witch Bolt wants water and metal. Black Tentacles hold bodies and masonry. Fey Switch is a survival swap. Downpour is a ritual with bowls. Tasha’s Leash is original to this video game.
The official site, the Gamescom eight-minute film, Maggie Robertson’s stage intro, and Dominic Guay’s IGN interview remain the primary sources. Tricia Helfer is Kaatri. The lost person has no public name. Azalin Rex is vanished in previews, not a confirmed health bar. Crickshank harbors a secret in captions. Steam lists twelve languages; this wiki ships English, French, German, and Spanish. The launch window is still a year, not a day. Notes on spells/raw-magic-en-0 stay unique to this article.
