Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons Warlock Spell Combos
Filmed pairings — weather, pins, swaps, grabs, and steel
Combos in Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons are not rotation charts. They are jobs stacked on the same problem. Invoke filmed and described a handful of pairings. This page only lists those, then tells you how to think about the next one you invent in 2027. If a streamer posts a six-spell infinite, wait for a patch note.
Weather plus lightning
Downpour soaks the courtyard. Witch Bolt wants conductors: puddles, poles, armor, standing water. Xbox Wire’s pole-behind-the-group example is the teaching case. You are not aiming at health bars; you are aiming at the wet thing that shares a grid with health bars. Rituals is the cost. Cantrips is the follow-up.
Pin plus steal plus swing
Black Tentacles occupy an ogre’s space. Tasha’s Leash yanks the weapon or the body. Melee or a thrown blade finishes. GameRant and RPS both describe tentacles as platform and as hold. Same spell, two jobs. Weapons is the closer.
Swap plus don’t get hit
Fey Switch trades you with a monster when a Watcher occupies your lane. Coverage called it the survival tool in a dungeon. Pair with Misty Step if you need a grate instead of a body. Combat and how to beat enemies walk the footage.
Lift plus slam or throw
Levitate a crate, a blade, or a creature. Slam for damage and space. Throw if the leash already put it in your hands. Gust of Wind is the cheaper shove when you do not need altitude.
Jump plus melee landing
The long jump is a traversal tool that can convert to a hit. Use it after a tentacle platform or a gap the jump alone covers. Exploration cares about this more than a DPS sheet does.
How to invent the next combo without lying
Ask what the room is made of: rain, metal, ledges, bodies, grates. Ask which layer you can afford: cantrip, advanced cooldown, ritual reagents. Ask whether steel should speak last. The combo planner is a checklist, not a solver. How to combo magic embeds the IGN interview where Guay talks about real-time tabletop verbs.
Hattem said the rain sequence was not authored. If that survives shipping, this page becomes a habit list rather than a spoiler list. Until then, memorize the five families above and refuse unnamed “meta.”

What we still refuse to invent on this page
Pre-release wikis fail when they fill silence with numbers. Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons has not published damage, cooldowns, campaign hours, or a skill tree. This article therefore repeats only public nouns: Kaatri, Tasha, Darkon, Raw Magic, cantrips, advanced spells, rituals, two weapons, 2027, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. If a later trailer names a new tool, it belongs here as a named tool, not as a guessed rank. Wishlist links belong on the platforms article. Button maps belong on the controls article. Boss names belong nowhere until Invoke says them on camera.
Readers arriving from Baldur’s Gate 3 should treat this page as a different job: no camp, no dice, no origin picker. Readers arriving from Dark Alliance should treat it as a different session: no four-player drop-in. Readers arriving from tabletop warlock threads should treat Eldritch Blast as a pad verb, not a slot you ration after a short rest. Witch Bolt wants water and metal. Black Tentacles hold bodies and masonry. Fey Switch is a survival swap. Downpour is a ritual with bowls. Tasha’s Leash is original to this video game.
The official site, the Gamescom eight-minute film, Maggie Robertson’s stage intro, and Dominic Guay’s IGN interview remain the primary sources. Tricia Helfer is Kaatri. The lost person has no public name. Azalin Rex is vanished in previews, not a confirmed health bar. Crickshank harbors a secret in captions. Steam lists twelve languages; this wiki ships English, French, German, and Spanish. The launch window is still a year, not a day. Notes on spells/combos-en-0 stay unique to this article.
