Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons Spells

The public grimoire — cantrips, advanced spells, and one named ritual

Last updated:

Spells Hub

The official Warlock site publishes a partial spell list and says more of Kaatri’s magic will appear later. Treat this hub as a living index of what Wizards and Invoke have actually named, not a scraped 5e handbook. Several tools are classic Dungeons & Dragons names with video-game jobs. At least one, Tasha’s Leash, is original to this game. Fey Switch is described as a reimagined 4th-edition idea. Downpour is a Ritual, not a cantrip.

Confirmed tools (public marketing)

  • Eldritch Blast (Cantrip) — accurate long-range force beam against objects and enemies; coverage mentions a chaining variant.
  • Witch Bolt (Cantrip) — lightning damage and stun; gains potency through liquids and metals.
  • Gust of Wind (Cantrip) — burst or continuous wind to shove, fan flames, or disperse gas.
  • Levitate — lift enemies or objects, nullify gravity, slam down.
  • Fey Switch (Advanced) — swap places with a nearby monster.
  • Black Tentacles (Advanced) — tentacles on any tangible surface; coil and hold.
  • Misty Step — become incorporeal, short teleport including some grates, or hold to avoid damage.
  • Tasha’s Leash — ethereal tendrils pull objects or enemies; some can be thrown.
  • Long jump — great distance with optional melee landing.
  • Downpour (Ritual) — localized storm that soaks the field.

That list is the cantrips vs advanced split plus rituals. Pairings live on combos. Progression via world pickups lives on Raw Magic.

How to use this list without lying to yourself

Nothing here has a damage die, a rank, or a cooldown number. “S-tier Eldritch Blast” is fan fiction. The honest ranking is job: blast, shove, pin, swap, grab, weather, jump, ghost. How to use spells is the tutorial. How to combo magic is the IGN-interview class. The combo planner is the toy.

If a social clip shows a nameless beam, do not add it to this table until Invoke names it. The site already says the list is incomplete on purpose.

Where spells sit in the rest of the wiki

Combat page for Watchers and ogres. Exploration page for platforms and grates. Weapons page for what happens after a pin. Characters pages for why Tasha’s name is on a leash. World pages for why Darkon wants you to experiment. Gameplay hub is the parent systems map.

The short Epic cut embedded above is a different edit of the Gamescom footage, useful if you want a one-and-a-half-minute reminder of weather and melee. The full eight minutes stay on how to play.
